Procurement Specialist

Industry: Manufacturing

Minimum Experience: Entry-level

As a Procurement Specialist, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy from the initial stages through to final confirmations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess purchasing requirements for tooling, raw materials, and supplies for both office and production environments.
  • Track and manage internal inventory levels effectively.
  • Issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) to evaluate pricing and delivery timelines.
  • Address quality concerns and manage product returns as necessary.
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify suitable alternatives when items are unavailable.
  • Engage with setup team leaders to explore tooling options for new parts and to troubleshoot machining challenges.
  • Coordinate the delivery of stock items under blanket purchase orders.
  • Expedite orders and monitor the status of components at external service providers.
  • Work alongside Accounts Payable to confirm payments based on an internal pricing structure.
  • Analyze, plan, and manage all inventory and purchased items through thorough data collection and trend analysis.

Job Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent certifications.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in the manufacturing sector.
  • Proficiency in inventory management practices.
  • Customer service experience is advantageous.
