Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Process Engineer to join our team at Peerless Chain. As a key member of our manufacturing operations, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our manufacturing processes, improving efficiency, and ensuring high-quality products.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and recommend innovative solutions to improve manufacturing processes, resulting in reduced cycle time, set-up time, and production costs.
  • Apply 5S and Lean techniques to develop maximum reliability and efficiency of processes, procedures, and equipment.
  • Provide engineering support to manufacturing operations in the troubleshooting, rebuilding, and repair of complex tooling and equipment.
  • Develop, coordinate, implement, and validate process requirements, routers, and specifications for successful manufacturing of products to meet customer requirements.
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement technical training for employees by working closely with manufacturing, toolmakers, operators, and engineers.
  • Evaluate machine breakdowns to determine causes and participate in the implementation of corrective action to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide complete project management for new machine and system acquisitions, modifications, installations, and upgrades.
  • Design and develop machine and process control systems to minimize variables and reduce complexity of set-up and operation.
  • Prepare documentation and R.O.I. for the justification, procurement, installation, and commissioning of capital equipment.
  • Confer with vendors in determining product specifications and arranging equipment, parts, or material purchase, and evaluating products according to quality standards and specifications.
  • Regular attendance, communication, and meeting committed deadlines are essential elements of the job.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and at least five years of experience in a manufacturing environment. Strong technical skills, excellent communication and problem-solving abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a team are essential.
