**Summary/Objective:** The primary responsibility of the Customer Service Representative is to efficiently manage customer orders and invoices, ensuring timely delivery of products while addressing all customer inquiries and requirements.

**Key Responsibilities:** The Customer Service Representative is accountable for all aspects of customer interaction, which includes but is not limited to:

  • Processing customer orders and managing invoicing.
  • Generating daily business reports and providing logistics support.
  • Ensuring vendor compliance and managing electronic data interchange (EDI).
  • Offering backup support to payroll, accounts receivable, and shipping clerks.

**Required Skills and Qualifications:**

  1. Proficiency in typing and familiarity with software applications such as Word, Excel, and Microsoft Outlook.
  2. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Nav is advantageous.
  3. Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing; bilingual skills are a plus.
  4. Basic mathematical skills are essential.
  5. Familiarity with standard office equipment, including copiers, computers, telephones, and fax machines.
  6. Capability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being able to work independently.
  7. Adherence to all safety protocols and company policies, including punctuality and vacation guidelines.

**Supervisory Responsibilities:** This position does not include direct supervisory duties.

**Work Environment:** This role is based in the main office of Behrens Manufacturing, utilizing standard office equipment such as computers and telephones.

**Physical Requirements:** The physical demands of this position include sitting, walking, and standing as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities.

**Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:** This is a full-time role, with a typical schedule of Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, including a 30-minute lunch break. Overtime may be required as needed.

**Travel Requirements:** This position does not require travel.

**Education and Experience:** A high school diploma is required, along with one or more years of post-secondary education or relevant customer service experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
