Position Overview

Job Responsibilities:
We are in search of a dynamic and skilled Automation & Controls Engineer to enhance our flourishing manufacturing division.

As a pivotal member of our organization, you will oversee the design, implementation, and upkeep of intricate automation and control systems.

This role is tailored for individuals with a robust background in preventive and predictive maintenance, robotics, Allen Bradley, and RSLogix5000.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement automation and control systems to improve manufacturing efficiency and productivity.
  • Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance on robotic systems and automated machinery to ensure peak performance and reliability.
  • Utilize Allen Bradley and RSLogix5000 for programming and troubleshooting PLC systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process improvement opportunities and devise solutions to reduce downtime and enhance productivity.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, including system designs, specifications, and operation manuals.
  • Train and mentor technical personnel on the operation and maintenance of automation systems.
  • Stay abreast of the latest trends and advancements in automation technology and integrate them into operations where advantageous.
  • Ensure all automation and control systems adhere to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in automation and controls engineering within the manufacturing sector.
  • Proficient with Allen Bradley and RSLogix5000 for PLC programming and troubleshooting.
  • Extensive experience in preventive and predictive maintenance of robotic systems and automated machinery.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
  • Demonstrated capability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
