Position Overview (Job Summary)

As a Regional Sales Executive, you will play a crucial role in driving the growth and success of our company by effectively managing and developing your designated territory to achieve revenue and growth objectives. You will be responsible for establishing and nurturing strong relationships with contractors and distributors, ensuring seamless sales operations within your region. Your role will involve crafting sales strategies, analyzing market data, identifying sales opportunities, and addressing customer inquiries to enhance and expand your territory.

Key Responsibilities (Job Responsibilities)

Your daily tasks will include:

  1. Territory Management and Sales:
  • Promote the sale of Weil-McLain branded products to targeted contractors and wholesale distributors within your assigned territory.
  • Engage with distributor executives, including top management and sales personnel, across various departments.
  • Conduct personal visits to contractors, both independently and alongside distributor sales teams, at industry events and meetings.
  • Actively seek and connect with new customers, contractors, and distributors to enhance market presence and boost sales.
  • Achieve or surpass annual revenue targets.
  • Plan and execute sales initiatives with distributor partners.
  • Educate clients and prospects on product features, advantages, and competitive differentiators.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including warranty and customer service, to provide prompt responses and solutions to distributor and contractor inquiries.
  • Represent the Weil-McLain product line at regional and national trade exhibitions.
  1. Customer Support:
  • Establish and maintain robust relationships with existing and potential customers, contractors, and distributors through regular communication, follow-ups, and product demonstrations.
  • Deliver product and technical training to enhance customer understanding and promote effective product use.
  • Participate in new product launches and technical presentations related to the installation and operation of Weil-McLain products.
  1. Analytics, Research, and Reporting:
  • Maintain comprehensive records of sales activities, customer interactions, and progress towards goals.
  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitive landscape to management.
  • Engage in product growth initiatives, including new product introductions and technical presentations.

Qualifications (Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Education)

We are seeking candidates who possess:

Required Experience:

  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the HVAC, plumbing, or related sectors.
  • Experience in delivering technical training.
  • A strong technical understanding of product features, functions, benefits, installation, and application.
  • Experience working in a remote capacity.

  • A proven history of meeting and exceeding sales targets and driving business growth.
  • A solid grasp of sales principles, techniques, strategies, and best practices.
  • Technical knowledge of product features and the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly.

  • Self-motivation and the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of building professional relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to present data and recommendations effectively to distributors and customers.
  • An analytical mindset with experience interpreting sales data and market trends.
  • Formal sales training.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
  • A willingness to travel frequently.

Travel, Physical Demands & Working Environment:

  • Frequent travel to meet with customers and attend industry events.
  • Ability to drive long distances and lift product displays weighing up to 75 lbs.
  • Work environment includes home office and customer locations.
