Job Overview

Located in a picturesque residential area, LaKota Oaks serves as a premier venue for weddings and private gatherings.

Position Summary:

The Event Server plays a crucial role in delivering warm, timely, and professional service to guests attending various events. This position operates on an on-call basis, allowing servers to manage their schedules effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand and comply with established company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all guest interactions are positive and welcoming.
  • Confirm your schedule at least two weeks prior to the event.
  • Be aware of your shift start time and location before the event day.
  • Familiarize yourself with initial procedures upon arrival, including gathering necessary items such as linens and tableware.
  • Review event documentation to understand your specific roles and responsibilities.
  • Assist in setting up the event as directed by the event supervisor.
  • Follow instructions provided by the event manager diligently.
  • Maintain a clean, pressed, and professional uniform at all times.
  • During the event, be attentive to your duties, including serving appetizers, clearing tables, and preparing for final service.
  • After the cocktail hour, clear the area while guests make announcements.
  • Once announcements are completed, proceed with serving and clearing courses at assigned tables throughout the event.
  • At the conclusion of the event, ensure all assigned tasks are completed.
  • Do not leave until the event manager has reviewed and approved your side work.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of experience in food service is preferred.
  • Experience in banquet service is advantageous.
