Daily Responsibilities of a Community Support Specialist:

In the role of Community Support Specialist, you will be instrumental in facilitating the participation of individuals in community activities. This may involve engaging with participants in diverse activities such as art classes, cooking sessions, or sports events—essentially any pursuits that interest our individuals.

When not engaged in community outings, you will assist in our day program, which includes overseeing lunch and on-site activities. Additionally, staff members provide support with personal needs and feeding when required. You will also be responsible for transporting participants in a company vehicle to and from activities, as well as assisting with pickups or drop-offs at family homes when necessary. At the conclusion of each day, you will feel fulfilled knowing you have positively impacted the lives of those you support.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license with eligibility for a Public Passenger Endorsement
  • Empathy and the ability to recognize potential in every individual
  • Positive demeanor and a collaborative spirit

Work Schedule:

Monday to Friday: 35 hours/week (Paid lunch while supervising participants)
