We are seeking a highly skilled Patient Access Representative to join our team at PeaceHealth Sacred Heart Medical Center at Riverbend in Springfield, Oregon. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our emergency department by coordinating patient access and registration processes.
Key Responsibilities- Pre-register and register patients with accurate demographic and financial data
- Collect patient balances, co-payments, and other payment types
- Verify coverage and ensure all insurance requirements are met
- Obtain prior authorization and referrals as necessary
- Respond to customer inquiries and provide excellent customer service
- Assist with departmental coverage and manage daily appointment schedules
- Transport patients as needed
- Minimum of 1 year of medical office or related customer service experience
- Excellent time management and conflict resolution skills
- Good customer service and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications a plus
