Job Overview

Anchor Sandblasting and Coatings, LLC is looking for a skilled Marine Coatings Specialist to join our team. This role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $24 to $26, depending on experience. POSITION SUMMARY

In this role, you will be responsible for executing blasting and painting tasks in accordance with specified contract standards. As a Marine Coatings Specialist, you will carry out blasting and painting operations as directed by your supervisors. You must be proficient in all blasting requirements and techniques, as well as identify and rectify any deficiencies in blasting and painting processes.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Utilize conventional and airless spray systems to apply coatings.
  • Employ brushes and rollers for paint application.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of various painting techniques and applications.
  • Understand different blasting methods.
  • Perform grinding, sanding, and polishing tasks.
  • Execute painting, caulking, and sealing duties.
  • Conduct abrasive blasting using compressed air or water to remove unwanted materials from surfaces.
  • Apply masking materials to safeguard specific areas from overspray.
  • Apply epoxy, polyurethane, and high-solids coatings.
  • Operate man lifts and work at elevated heights, with appropriate training.
  • Wear respirators and other necessary personal protective equipment (PPE).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A high school diploma or GED is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The ideal candidate must possess the physical capabilities to perform all job functions, including lifting and carrying equipment, bending, and climbing. The role requires the ability to stand for extended periods and work in various weather conditions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The work environment is typical of heavy industrial settings, with potential exposure to noise, heat, cold, vibration, dust, fumes, and smoke.

WORK SCHEDULE

This position typically involves day shifts, requiring 40+ hours of work per week, with availability for weekends.
