Key Responsibilities
  • Environmental and Safety Management: Monitor and supervise environmental and safety management programs to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Perform documented on-site risk assessments and audits, and implement corrective actions to mitigate hazards and risks.
  • Training and Development: Develop and implement training programs to promote a safety-first culture and ensure employees have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their jobs safely.
  • Incident Investigation and Reporting: Investigate and report on incidents and near misses, and provide recommendations for preventing reoccurrence.
  • Compliance and Regulatory Affairs: Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, laws, and orders, and stay up-to-date with changes in regulations and industry standards.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Minimum 2+ years of HSE-related work experience within the maritime/industrial work environment.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge of maritime/industrial work environments, ability to identify hazards/risks, and skills in implementing safety processes based on broader organizational goals.
  • Certifications and Training: Various OSHA competent person courses, First Aid/CPR certification, and willingness to obtain OSHA 10 and 30 Maritime Train the Trainer Certification.
