Position: Tank Maintenance Technicians - 1st & 2nd Shift

Anchor Sandblasting and Coatings is seeking to recruit dedicated full-time Tank Maintenance Technicians. The compensation for these roles ranges from $16 to $17 per hour based on experience, along with mandatory overtime on weekends. As a Technician, your responsibilities will include executing various tasks assigned by the foreman related to marine blasting and painting operations.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Comply with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain open communication with the blast/paint foreman regarding any production or safety concerns that may arise during work.
  • Prepare and dismantle the worksite for pressure washing, vacuuming, cleaning, and scaffolding tasks.
  • Perform general housekeeping duties at the worksite and dock.
  • Operate boom lifts and dingos.
  • Night shifts are required.
  • Utilize pressure washing equipment with 5000psi fan tips or turbo tips.
  • Engage in tank cleaning and shoveling activities.
  • Complete various assignments and projects as directed.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess the physical capabilities necessary to perform all job functions, including but not limited to lifting and carrying equipment and tools, bending, and climbing.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions.
  • Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Capability to climb inside tanks, work from suspended staging, and navigate small spaces.
  • Ability to lift and manage 85-pound staging boards for prolonged periods.
  • Experience operating boom lifts and dingos.
  • Willingness to wear a respirator when necessary.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Previous shipyard experience is advantageous.
