Position Overview

We are seeking a Supportive Housing Associate for our programs in Southern Oregon. This role involves motivating adults with serious mental health challenges to engage in various skills training and treatment activities. Key responsibilities include facilitating access to community resources, assisting tenants with healthcare arrangements, housing applications, medication management, financial oversight, symptom monitoring, and housekeeping support. The Associate will promote socialization, self-help, and effective communication while providing daily problem-solving assistance.

This position requires the ability to collaborate effectively as part of a direct care team, supporting the development of life skills and therapeutic interventions. Responsibilities also include maintaining accurate clinical documentation and performing essential tasks such as meal preparation and medication administration. Crisis de-escalation training will be provided, which includes physical techniques and maneuvers.

Important Considerations:

  • On-call staff must work a minimum of 32 hours monthly to remain active on the roster.
  • Attendance at a minimum of one staff meeting per month is required (and clinical supervision if a QMHA).
  • Maintain current training compliance with company standards.
  • Respond to coverage requests within 4 hours of the initial call, with potential for advance notice.

Ensure you meet the skill requirements for this role and possess the necessary experience before applying.

Vocational Training Program

For those starting as a QMHA-R, ColumbiaCare offers a Vocational Training Program designed to expedite training, experiential learning, and preparation for certification as a QMHA-I. This program can facilitate certification in as little as 6 months and is optional.

Work Schedule:

Work hours will vary based on program needs and may include holidays, weekends, and overnight shifts. Overnight shifts involve a 16-hour schedule with sleep accommodations on-site, including an additional $75 bonus for overnight stays.

Compensation:

The hourly wage starts at $23.75 based on experience and credentials, with an additional $2.50 per hour night shift differential applicable from 10:00 PM to 6:00 AM.

Additional Compensation:

A 5% Language Differential is available for bilingual or multilingual candidates (Spanish/English preferred).
