The Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation (JPNDC) is a community-focused organization committed to uplifting Boston residents affected by economic challenges. Our goal is to foster affordable housing, provide economic support services, and engage in community organizing to promote a fairer and more inclusive Boston.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize and facilitate monthly gatherings for families involved in the Family Child Care program.
  • Work collaboratively with partners to deliver workshops and outreach initiatives.
  • Develop and disseminate a monthly newsletter for parents.
  • Assist in planning family-oriented activities and workshops.
  • Maintain accurate records, input data, and generate reports.
  • Establish and maintain connections with community organizations.
  • Conduct home visits and offer necessary support.
  • Provide assistance with backup care and transportation logistics.
  • Perform additional tasks as required.

Qualifications:

Essential Requirements:

  • Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole alongside English.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in early childhood education or family support services.
  • An associate's degree in a relevant field.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general technology use.
  • Knowledge of community resources.

Employment Terms/Compensation:

This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of $53,000 - $58,000, along with benefits. Availability for some evenings and weekends is required.
