The Jamaica Plain Neighborhood Development Corporation (JPNDC) is a community-focused organization committed to uplifting Boston residents affected by economic challenges. Our goal is to foster affordable housing, provide economic support services, and engage in community organizing to promote a fairer and more inclusive Boston.
Key Responsibilities:
- Organize and facilitate monthly gatherings for families involved in the Family Child Care program.
- Work collaboratively with partners to deliver workshops and outreach initiatives.
- Develop and disseminate a monthly newsletter for parents.
- Assist in planning family-oriented activities and workshops.
- Maintain accurate records, input data, and generate reports.
- Establish and maintain connections with community organizations.
- Conduct home visits and offer necessary support.
- Provide assistance with backup care and transportation logistics.
- Perform additional tasks as required.
Qualifications:
Essential Requirements:
- Availability for a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
- Proficiency in Spanish or Haitian Creole alongside English.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and dependable transportation.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- At least 5 years of experience in early childhood education or family support services.
- An associate's degree in a relevant field.
- Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and general technology use.
- Knowledge of community resources.
Employment Terms/Compensation:
This full-time role offers a competitive salary range of $53,000 - $58,000, along with benefits. Availability for some evenings and weekends is required.
