Project Management Engineer - Equipment

OVERVIEW

This role involves overseeing all stages of equipment-related projects from initiation to completion, with a focus on ensuring successful project delivery. The Project Management Engineer will lead teams to meet specific objectives within designated timelines and resource constraints. Responsibilities include managing the administration, execution, and overall oversight of equipment projects while ensuring accountability for scope, schedule, and budget.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Formulates and assesses project plans, establishes timelines and criteria, and implements strategies to meet system goals for intricate equipment applications.
  • Engages with clients and their representatives, including property owners, mechanical contractors, and field support personnel.
  • Interprets and reviews technical drawings and schematics.
  • Prepares and assesses equipment submissions.
  • Negotiates and acquires external purchases.
  • Ensures compliance with internal equipment procurement processes.
  • Manages equipment orders and issues purchase orders for supplier materials.
  • Aligns projected shipping dates with the contractor's project timeline.
  • Creates and revises project timelines, including task identification, estimates, dependencies, and milestones.
  • Oversees the preparation of material and vendor orders, records material receipts, and approves payments.
  • Collaborates with contractors and clients to review project scope, budgets, performance, and project closure.
  • Monitors and regulates project expenditures to remain within budgetary limits.
  • Maintains precision in forecasting total project costs at completion.
  • Ensures timely project completion while upholding client satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related HVAC Technology Degree is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and adaptable to various manufacturer software.
  • Experience in HVAC/R and/or project management is advantageous.
  • Sales knowledge is a plus.
