Civil Engineering Project Specialist

Position Overview:
APTIM Federal Services, LLC is seeking a qualified Civil/Environmental Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a robust technical foundation in all aspects of environmental site assessment and remediation, including initial investigations, civil site operations, and site rehabilitation. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential, enabling clear and confident communication with all project stakeholders, including clients and team members. This is a Full-Time role.

- Analyze engineering data, develop design documents and specifications, and utilize various software for modeling.
- Collaborate with project teams to create client proposals; prepare and review work plans, project reports, and other deliverables.
- Apply engineering expertise to complete assigned tasks; manage time effectively to meet deadlines, budget constraints, and quality standards.
- Oversee field activities and supervise personnel at project sites, including subcontractors.
- Work independently with minimal supervision and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Monitor and manage costs within assigned work; address moderately complex challenges and offer innovative solutions.
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Mentor and support the development of Junior Engineering Staff.
- Uphold a strong commitment to safety in all work practices.
- At least 8 years of experience in civil and/or environmental engineering related to government contracts.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Active Professional Engineer (PE) License in Virginia (additional licensure in Pennsylvania and/or New Jersey is advantageous).
- Current OSHA HAZWOPER Certification.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and other engineering software.
- Ability to work in various field conditions and weather.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Willingness to travel as required by project demands.
