POLYFIL CORPORATION is seeking a skilled Control Systems Specialist to enhance our automation capabilities.

Position Summary:
The Control Systems Specialist will be responsible for:
- Maintaining, assessing, and optimizing PLCs, process machinery, and various control systems.
- Collaborating with mechanical systems and their integration with automation technologies.
- Evaluating existing manufacturing processes and proposing innovative solutions to enhance product quality, efficiency, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Leading the resolution of complex technical challenges by engaging with electrical, hydraulic, mechanical, and integrated control systems.
- Implementing process enhancements and controls on current equipment while spearheading the development of new technologies across the facility.
- Developing and overseeing automation project timelines while managing costs and budgets to achieve project objectives within set parameters.
- Demonstrating resilience in the face of challenges and providing creative solutions to enhance data collection, safety interfaces, and a diverse range of manufacturing requirements.
- Thriving under pressure and managing multiple concurrent projects while adapting to the dynamic needs of a fast-paced environment.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related field from an accredited institution. Experience in industrial settings with manufacturing equipment is preferred, including post-degree and internship experience.

Technical Qualifications:
Proficiency and experience with the following technologies are essential:
- Siemens Step 7 and TIA Portal Programming
- Siemens Sinamics Servo Drives and Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Allen Bradley equipment and programming

Additional Skills:
Experience or familiarity with:
- Industrial PLC controllers and electronics
- Conducting system upgrades and installations in manufacturing environments
- Troubleshooting programming and electrical issues in manufacturing equipment and controls, including knowledge of industrial voltages from 120VAC single phase to 480VAC three phase, as well as low voltage signal wiring.
- Working in electrical cabinets with high voltage potential
- Reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints
- Hydraulics, Pneumatics, and machine control integration
- Proficiency in AutoCAD for electrical print modifications or generation
- 3D modeling experience using Autodesk Inventor software
