Key Responsibilities:

Required Skills:
Expertise in wound debridement, skin and wound biopsies, wound cultures, and incision and drainage procedures. Proficient in utilizing bio-engineered skin substitutes.

Work collaboratively with a diverse range of healthcare professionals, including endocrinologists, podiatrists, and various surgical specialists, to create individualized treatment plans that address each patient's specific needs.

Ensure effective communication and coordination of care among all healthcare providers involved in the patient's treatment.

Engage with patients and their families, clearly explaining diagnoses, treatment options, and associated risks and benefits in a compassionate manner.

Offer insights on post-operative care, rehabilitation strategies, and preventive measures to enhance recovery and minimize complications.

Stay informed about the latest developments in wound care, particularly in areas such as diabetic foot ulcers, pressure ulcers, venous leg ulcers, and arterial ulcers.

Participate actively in research projects, clinical trials, and professional conferences to enhance medical knowledge and improve patient outcomes.
Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records, documenting medical histories, surgical interventions, and treatment strategies. Comply with institutional and legal standards regarding patient confidentiality and data protection.

Engage in continuous education and training to remain updated on emerging trends in wound care and to uphold professional certifications and licenses.
