As a Refrigeration and HVAC Systems Technician, your expertise will be crucial in executing installations, performing maintenance tasks, diagnosing equipment failures, and executing repairs on HVAC and refrigeration systems. These systems are essential for providing optimal air conditioning, heating, cooling, humidity control, filtration, and air circulation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responding to maintenance requests and alarms during off-hours.
- Collaborating effectively with facility personnel to ensure smooth operations.
- Accessing and monitoring building automation systems such as Automated Logic, Johnson Controls, Delta, and Siemens to assess equipment performance.
- Receiving alarm notifications and ensuring appropriate responses, with guidance from supervisory staff when necessary.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week. The work schedule includes shifts from 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM, or 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. As an essential employee, you will be required to work during emergencies and office closures.
Compensation:

Qualifications:
Minimum Experience and Training:
- A minimum of two years of experience in the maintenance, repair, or installation of HVAC or refrigeration systems, or
- Completion of a three-year vocational training program in refrigeration, HVAC, or building automation, along with six months of relevant experience, or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training, including at least one year of experience in HVAC or refrigeration maintenance, repair, or installation.
Special Requirements:
- Must obtain EPA Universal Refrigerant Transition and Recovery Certification from an approved provider within six months of employment.
- An active motor vehicle license is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two years of experience in HVAC system installation, maintenance, or repair.
- Familiarity with Building Automation Systems for monitoring and adjusting HVAC performance.
- Experience troubleshooting chillers, boilers, or automation systems.
- An associate's degree in HVAC, Refrigeration, Building Automation Systems, or a closely related field.
