Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled NOC Network Technician to join our team at NextGen Global Resources. As a key member of our network operations team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the stability and reliability of our network infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain computer networks and systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Respond to network alerts and troubleshoot network-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Perform regular network performance checks to identify potential issues before they become major problems.
  • Collaborate with field technicians and engineers to resolve complex network issues and ensure seamless network operations.
  • Maintain detailed records of network outages, discrepancies, and quality control measures to ensure continuous improvement.
  • Execute high-availability incident response for remote-hosted and Cloud-enabled customer operations.
  • Manage ServiceNow Incident Management, Change Management, and Problem Management processes to ensure efficient issue resolution.
  • Conduct remote network surveillance and event response to identify and resolve network issues quickly.
  • Triage and resolve service-impacting incidents within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Participate in complex troubleshooting with next-tier Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to resolve critical network issues.
  • Provide customer-facing technical support via various communication channels to ensure excellent customer experience.
  • Communicate with stakeholders during service-impacting events to ensure transparency and timely resolution.
  • Manage vendor tickets effectively to ensure timely resolution of network-related issues.
Requirements
  • Strong working knowledge of IP networking and interoperability standards.
  • Strong understanding of network infrastructure and protocols.
  • Experience with network monitoring tools and technologies.
  • 1+ years of experience troubleshooting IP network connectivity and resolving network-related issues.
  • 1+ years of experience troubleshooting service and hardware errors generated by routers, switches, terminal devices, servers, and endpoints.
  • Proficiency in networking protocols such as VPN, BGP, MPLS, or SIP.
  • Ability to navigate and interpret network drawings (e.g., Vizio drawings).
  • Good analytical and documentation skills.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations and respond quickly to network issues.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in the Network Operations or Telecommunications industry.
  • Certifications like Network+, Cisco, CCST, or CCNA are a plus.
  • ITIL Certification.
  • Experience with AWS Cloud surveillance.
