Position Title: Electronics Troubleshooting Technician

Location: Allen, TX

Position Summary:

The Electronics Troubleshooting Technician will operate within a manufacturing setting, focusing on diagnosing and testing Digital Video Recorder Systems and their associated components. This role demands a strong capability to interpret schematics, technical drawings, inspection reports, and engineering documentation, along with following verbal or written instructions from supervisors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic products at the sub-assembly and component levels. The primary focus will be on testing and troubleshooting various Mobile and Fixed Video systems using industry-standard diagnostic tools and test stations. Adherence to ESD practices is crucial. Strong verbal and written communication skills are necessary for collaboration with Engineering and Customer Service teams.
  • Seeking candidates with experience as repair or return technicians in the electronics sector.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of both Analog and Digital Electronics, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in troubleshooting Electronic Printed Circuit Assemblies.
  • Demonstrated skills in circuit analysis, fault isolation, and root cause analysis.
  • Familiarity with current Digital electronics technologies is essential, including experience troubleshooting PCBAs that incorporate Microcontrollers, Memory devices, FPGAs, and Low Power signals.
  • Proficient in using Digital Volt Meters, Oscilloscopes, and other standard testing equipment for PCBA diagnosis and repair.
  • Basic knowledge of Computers and Networking concepts, including MAC IDs and IP addresses, is required. Attention to detail is critical.
  • Aptitude for learning new technologies and processes, along with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Support management in meeting production requirements and deadlines.
  • Ensure high-quality work with consistency and reliability.
  • Ability to thrive in a diverse work environment.
  • Excellent communication abilities.
  • Strong moral character and alignment with company culture.

Education:

  • A Technical Degree (2-year or 4-year) is preferred.
