Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Center Technician to join our team at PCR Staffing. As a Data Center Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of data center infrastructure, including network and cabling systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation and Maintenance: Install, maintain, and repair data center infrastructure, including network and cabling systems.
  • Network and Cabling: Install, terminate, and test network and cabling systems, including fiber optic cables.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and resolve issues with data center infrastructure, including network and cabling systems.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and maintenance teams.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all work performed, including installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in data center installation, maintenance, and repair.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of data center infrastructure, including network and cabling systems. Proficient in fiber optic cable installation and testing. Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Certifications: OSHA 10 certification and BICSI certification desired.
Working Conditions

The Data Center Technician will work in a fast-paced data center environment, with frequent exposure to electrical and mechanical systems. The technician will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces, and will be exposed to dust, noise, and other environmental hazards.
