Job Description

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for representing employees in legal claims related to Washington wage and hour laws. You will manage all aspects of cases, ensuring all deadlines are met, staying organized and multi-tasking to achieve priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Defend and take depositions, draft meet and confer letters to opposing counsel regarding discovery issues, argue motions, draft motions (including discovery and dispositive motions), conduct arbitrations, prepare for and attend mediations, and prepare cases for trial;
  • Perform in-depth legal research;
  • Communicate with outside parties such as attorneys, employers, law enforcement agents, administrative agencies, etc.;
  • Aid in the expansion of our thriving California practice;
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • JD Required;
  • Minimum 4-9 years relevant legal experience, including substantial experience litigating and managing complex cases;
  • Expertise in wage and hour Law;
  • Litigation Skills: including experience with all stages of the litigation process from pre-litigation investigation through mediation, trial and appeals;
  • Communication and Advocacy: excellent oral and written communication skills are essential for effectively representing clients, negotiating settlements, and presenting complex legal arguments;
  • Able to work effectively independently or within a team.

Benefits and Compensation:
