**Job Overview:**

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Professional to join our Mobile Rapid Response Crisis Team at the Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC). As a member of our team, you will be responsible for responding to adults in the community experiencing mental health or substance use crises, providing them with support and guidance to navigate the system and access necessary resources.

About DESC:

The Downtown Emergency Service Center (DESC) is a leading provider of services to multiply disabled adults who have experienced chronic homelessness. We serve almost 3,000 people each day and are recognized nationally and regionally as an innovator in developing solutions to homelessness.

About the Role:

This role requires a strong commitment to social justice and a passion for serving individuals experiencing homelessness and mental health issues. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you will be able to provide emotional support and guidance to clients in crisis, while also advocating for their rights and needs.

Responsibilities:

Respond to adults in the community experiencing mental health or substance use crises.Provide support and guidance to clients to navigate the system and access necessary resources.Work collaboratively with other staff members to develop and implement plans to support clients.Document client interactions and progress in accordance with agency policies and procedures.Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you must have a Master's degree in social work, psychology, or another relevant behavioral science, or a Bachelor of Nursing degree with a specialty in mental health. Additionally, you must be eligible for a Licensed AAC credential or any other superseding credential that meets RCW 71.05.020 requirements to act as a Mental Health Professional. You should also have experience working with marginalized populations and providing crisis intervention services.

Salary: The estimated salary for this role is $75,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
