About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Social Services Program Administrator to join our team at the City of Burien. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering high-quality services and working collaboratively with community partners.

Job Summary:

The Human Services Coordinator will be responsible for administering policies, programs, and procedures in human services contract management. This includes completing tasks according to established policies and procedures, working independently with limited supervision, and contributing through knowledge, skills, and good work habits. The ideal candidate will effectively communicate with a highly diverse population, including residents and contractors who speak Spanish, Vietnamese, and other languages.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement policies, programs, and procedures in human services contract management.
  • Collaborate with community partners to deliver high-quality services.
  • Manage and track data related to contract management, including reports, approvals, and payments.
  • Provide technical assistance to community partners and stakeholders.
  • Analyze and evaluate data to inform decision-making and improve services.
  • Communicate effectively with community partners, stakeholders, and colleagues.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports related to contract management.
  • Support and model the identified vision, values, and behaviors of the organization, including the City's commitment to social equity and inclusion.
  • Track and monitor opportunities to apply for grants in support of the City's goals; serve as the primary grant writer and project manager for any funds secured.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Social Services, Law and Social Justice, Public Administration, or related field plus 3 years of responsible experience in project management, policy and program development ideally including management of human services programs implementation, OR a combination of education, training and practical experience which provides an equivalent background required to perform the work of the position. Experience working for a municipal organization is strongly desired.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role is between $60,000 and $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
