Exciting Opportunity in Policy and Strategic Communication
As a full-time Strategic Policy Content Specialist, you will support Schneider Electric's North American Government Relations team by contributing to our initiatives at various governmental levels, focusing on pivotal issues such as energy transformation, resilience, grid modernization, cybersecurity, smart manufacturing, and sustainability. You will be instrumental in articulating and disseminating our policy positions and strategic content through diverse channels, including policy papers, corporate presentations, blogs, opinion pieces, and social media.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compose essential policy papers and strategic content that bolster the thought leadership and strategy for senior executives.
  • Develop and refine content for internal presentations, ensuring alignment with brand standards and accuracy.
  • Create policy-focused social media content and thought leadership pieces to promote strategic priorities.
  • Assist the Government Relations team with communications and the formulation of strategic materials for executive engagements.
  • Coordinate with marketing and Public Relations leaders to discuss key events and strategic communication needs.
  • Establish a calendar of significant external events to influence policy in North America.
  • Gather and integrate insights from subject matter experts to produce policy papers or presentation topics.
  • Act as a liaison between the Government Relations team and the Sustainability Research Institute, managing timelines for projects.
  • Provide constructive feedback to enhance materials aimed at policymakers.
Essential Qualifications
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a solid background in presentation development.
  • Adept at conveying complex policy topics to various stakeholders.
  • Ability to clearly articulate intricate policy and regulatory issues to diverse audiences.
  • Experience in driving external communications strategies that promote policy messages.
  • Proficient in leveraging partnerships and events to strengthen policy initiatives.
  • Technologically proficient with tools such as Microsoft PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
  • Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Communications, Political Science, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in policy writing, messaging, and presentation development.
  • Familiarity with energy sector issues is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in relevant governmental or public affairs roles.
  • Proficient in key software platforms, including Adobe Suite and Microsoft Suite.
