Amentum is on the lookout for a Senior Cybersecurity Specialist to provide vital support to our Navy clientele through comprehensive systems and technical engineering services. Your expertise will be instrumental in implementing a structured and thorough Systems Engineering (SE) process across all operational areas of the system in development and maintenance.

Utilizing your knowledge and experience, you will assist our client in defining, documenting, and adhering to an open systems methodology that incorporates modular design, standards-based interfaces, and widely accepted consensus-based standards in hardware, software, subsystems, and components that make up the specific system.

Key Responsibilities of the Cybersecurity Specialist Include:

  • Collaborating as a member of various Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and working groups.
  • Creating Cyber Defense-in-Depth Architecture Diagrams for the system, sub-network, and platform network for integration.
  • Developing, maintaining, and executing Cyber test protocols and documenting outcomes.
  • Formulating and updating Cyber Risk Mitigation Plans. Establish and manage Risk Management Framework (RMF) packages in line with NAVSEA business regulations.
  • Documenting cross-domain interfaces and reviewing Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) vulnerability assessments.
  • Analyzing and evaluating Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) and/or Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) content for each relevant system component.
  • Assessing user requirements to devise systems solutions that align with overall business strategies.
  • Documenting system requirements, defining scope and objectives, and creating system specifications that guide system development and implementation.
  • Acting as a liaison between Cybersecurity professionals and users, possessing both business and technical acumen. Contributing to moderately complex project aspects.
  • Demonstrating the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline.
  • An Active SECRET US Government Clearance is required. Note: US Citizenship is necessary to obtain a SECRET Clearance.
  • A minimum of four (4) to seven (7) years of relevant experience in full-time professional roles involving network computer equipment, systems, and security.
  • Familiarity with DOD IA mandatory policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Intermediate Level knowledge and skills in Cyber-Information Technology (IT)/Cybersecurity Workforce (CSWF), with a certification in IA standards and policies. Education may be substituted by equivalent experience.
