Position Overview
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) serves as the central bank and integrated financial regulator of Singapore.

Role Responsibilities
In this pivotal role, you will be an integral part of the Technology & Cyber Risk Supervision Department at MAS, focusing on enhancing the cyber resilience of Singapore's financial ecosystem.

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting surveillance and in-depth research on emerging cyber threats and attacks, evaluating their potential impact on financial institutions.
  • Leading a team in the analysis of cyber incidents, providing expert recommendations for incident response and mitigation strategies.
  • Sharing critical insights with both internal and external stakeholders to enhance awareness of potential cyber threats.
  • Managing test environments to analyze malware and security exploits, as well as assessing cybersecurity applications and configurations.
  • Spearheading initiatives aimed at advancing the team's research and intelligence capabilities.

Additional Responsibilities
You may also lead projects in the following areas:

  • National cybersecurity initiatives and financial sector critical infrastructure protection.
  • International collaboration on cyber intelligence sharing with other regulatory bodies and strategic partners.
  • Organizing cybersecurity workshops and exercises to bolster resilience within the financial sector.

Candidate Profile
We are seeking individuals with:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in IT or cybersecurity, including at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong leadership qualities and the ability to thrive in high-pressure environments, complemented by excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • A solid understanding of cybersecurity principles and risk management best practices.
  • Familiarity with cyber threat intelligence and its implications for financial institutions.
  • Critical and strategic thinking abilities to guide team assessments effectively.
  • Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM) are advantageous.
