Position Overview:


The role involves supporting the project team in the oversight and administration of various tasks associated with construction initiatives.

This position may entail alternating between fieldwork and office duties throughout different stages of construction on a range of intricate projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Management Competencies

  • Ensure timely procurement and delivery of all project materials and equipment to the site.
  • Participate in project meetings and prepare weekly minutes for distribution.
  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of project schedules.
  • Track and expedite outstanding Requests for Information (RFIs) and communicate responses to the project team.
  • Support the evaluation of field issues and documentation of RFIs.
  • Monitor and document the status of punch list items.

Interpersonal Abilities

  • Foster and maintain effective working relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and project team members.
  • Promote the core values of C.W. Driver within the project team and among stakeholders.
  • Encourage teamwork and enhance morale within the project group.

Technical Proficiencies

  • Review, coordinate, and manage Submittals.
  • Draft, track, and communicate resolutions for all RFIs.
  • Monitor potential cost items to assist in preparing Change Order Requests.
  • Verify original estimated quantities and maintain labor cost reports.
  • Assist in documenting punch list work.
  • Support the review and enforcement of safety protocols.

Administrative Functions

  • Prepare and maintain logs for Submittals, RFIs, Procurement, and other documentation using Viewpoint.
  • Compile contract closeout documents, including O&M manuals and As-Builts.
  • Assist in maintaining the Material Tracking Log.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Update and manage all sets of drawings, specifications, and logs, ensuring all subcontractors receive relevant documents.
  • Assist in mock-up and field testing activities.
  • Establish and maintain an organized project filing system.

Qualifications:

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in basic computer applications (MS Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Familiarity with Viewpoint, P6, Prolog, or other Construction Management Software.
  • Understanding of construction administration processes, including documentation, schedules, RFIs, submittals, and material procurement.
  • Strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and project prioritization abilities in a dynamic environment.

Physical Requirements:


The execution of the essential duties may require physical capabilities such as climbing stairs, using construction personnel hoists, and navigating construction areas.

Specific vision abilities required for this role include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

This position necessitates the use of hands for handling objects, tools, or controls, as well as the ability to sit, talk, hear, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

Work Environment:


While performing the duties of this position, the employee regularly works on-site at construction locations, where exposure to moving mechanical parts, high places, fumes, airborne particles, and outside weather conditions may occur.
