Job Overview

We are currently seeking a Project Manager with a strong commitment to fire protection and safety. This role is essential for ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and within budget.

Position Summary: The primary duty of the Project Manager is to oversee project budgets and ensure financial targets are met. This includes forecasting costs and revenues throughout the project lifecycle. The Project Manager will coordinate and manage multiple construction projects simultaneously, varying in scale and complexity. Responsibilities include attending project meetings with contractors and maintaining detailed records of discussions, schedules, and requests. Strong communication skills are necessary for collaborating with sales teams to validate labor estimates for both new and retrofit projects. The role also involves managing the change order process from start to finish and proactively identifying potential issues to implement effective solutions. The Project Manager will work closely with various departments, including Sales, Superintendents, Foremen, and Service staff, to ensure compliance with project closeout requirements and customer training.

Compensation: $107,000 - $155,000

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in proposal activities, attend pre-bid meetings, and select subcontractors while maintaining comprehensive project documentation.
  • Oversee project management tasks, including change orders, resource allocation, weekly progress reporting, and material delivery schedules.
  • Manage equipment rental logistics to optimize costs.
  • Develop and uphold project timelines.
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes and maintain updated working drawings.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and stakeholders.
  • Conduct and participate in construction meetings, uphold safety protocols, and manage project closeout documentation.
  • Perform additional duties as required by business needs.
  • Coordinate with field management to allocate resources effectively to meet project timelines and budgets.
  • Participate in weekly operational and financial meetings to provide updates on project completion percentages and cost forecasts.

Qualifications:

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in a relevant industry.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes and project management principles, with the ability to plan and monitor tasks effectively.
  • Preferred NICET II certification or higher.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a focus on timely completion of tasks and documentation.
  • Proficient in budget management and cost control.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service abilities.
  • Able to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Experience in conflict resolution.
  • Ability to assess manpower requirements for various contracts and construction phases.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Willingness to work in challenging environments, including elevated spaces.
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to pass background checks and drug screenings as required.
