Role Summary

As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in monitoring financial markets and executing trades or transactions based on identified trends or strategic objectives. Your expertise will be crucial in utilizing established methodologies for analyzing financial market data, discerning trends, and making informed trading decisions. You will also work collaboratively with your team and management to set pricing in alignment with the associated risks of assets.

Your development into a subject matter expert on Capital and Return (both Regulatory and Economic) will support the Whole Loan Conduit and the broader Capital Markets division. Success in this position will require continuous optimization of Capital and Return across all functional groups, a deep understanding of competitive positioning in a dynamic market, and the ability to distill complex concepts into actionable insights.

Your Contributions

In the role of Senior Associate in Capital Markets Analytics, you will have the flexibility to shape your workday while collaborating with a dedicated team to achieve the following:

  • Enhance and maintain relationships with financial dealers and market makers to obtain pricing insights on mortgage-backed securities (MBS).
  • Foster strong connections with both internal and external stakeholders through proactive engagement and impactful contributions.
  • Monitor financial market trends and initiate trades or transactions based on strategic analysis.
  • Evaluate financial market activities, stay informed on new developments, and assess their potential impact on business operations, utilizing internal valuation and risk models for thorough analysis.
Qualifications

Essential Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years in a relevant field.

Key Skills

  • Proficient in gathering and interpreting data to clarify concepts and address critical inquiries.
  • Experienced in analyzing data to identify trends and relationships that inform decision-making.
  • Skilled in database management using tools such as MySQL, Hadoop, or MongoDB.
  • Adept at visualizing data through charts, diagrams, and dashboards using software like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Proficient in programming, including coding and debugging with relevant languages.

Technical Proficiencies

  • Expertise in SQL.
  • Proficient in Tableau.
  • Advanced skills in Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Self-motivated with a strong capacity to learn new tools and concepts quickly.
  • Programming experience in R Studio or Python.
