We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Engineer to join our Multifamily Capital Markets team at Fannie Mae. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting the development and implementation of financial models and tools to drive business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain complex financial models and tools to analyze and report on business performance
  • Contribute to financial analysis and forecasting, including scenario and sensitivity analysis, stress testing, and attribution analysis
  • Participate in executing models and interpreting results to inform business decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate complex financial concepts into actionable insights
  • Perform data and systems analysis, validation, and regression testing to ensure accuracy and reliability
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, or economics
  • Strong programming skills, including coding, debugging, and experience with relevant programming languages
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively
  • Experience working with financial data and models, including financial statements, balance sheets, and income statements
  • Proficiency in cloud technologies and cloud computing, including Amazon Web Services (AWS)
  • Strong understanding of statistical methods, including hypothesis testing, experimental design, and linear and logistic regressions
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in a quantitative field, such as mathematics, statistics, or economics
  • Experience working with financial software, including Bloomberg Professional and Excel
  • Knowledge of data visualization tools, such as Tableau and Power BI
  • Experience with version control systems, such as Git
