Job Overview

Your development into a subject matter expert on Capital and Return (both Regulatory and Economic) will support the Whole Loan Conduit and the broader Capital Markets division. Continuous enhancement of Capital and Return across all functional areas within Capital Markets, a comprehensive understanding of competitive positioning and strategy in relation to ever-changing market dynamics, and the ability to distill complex concepts to effectively advocate for these objectives are vital for success in this position. Additionally, you will be tasked with evaluating, developing, and managing a suite of tools and reports designed to optimize market transactions through the lenses of Capital and Return.

Your Contributions
The Senior Associate in Capital Markets Whole Loan Conduit Analytics role will provide you with the flexibility to shape your daily work while collaborating with dedicated colleagues to fulfill the following responsibilities:

  • Enhance and maintain relationships with financial dealers and market makers to gather pricing information on mortgage-backed securities (MBS) available for trading.
  • Establish and nurture strong connections with both internal and external stakeholders through proactive engagement and inspiring contributions.
  • Monitor financial markets and initiate trades or transactions to capitalize on identified trends or strategies.
  • Track financial market activities, assess new developments, and report on their potential impact on business positions, utilizing internal valuation and risk models to support your analysis and demonstrate proficiency with financial market data sources.
Qualifications

Essential Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years in a relevant field.

Skills

  • Proficient in gathering precise information to clarify concepts and address critical inquiries.
  • Experienced in analyzing data to identify trends or relationships that inform conclusions.
  • Skilled in creating and managing databases using relevant software such as MySQL, Hadoop, or MongoDB.
  • Adept at visually representing information through charts, diagrams, and dashboards using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Possess programming skills, including coding, debugging, and utilizing relevant programming languages.

Tools

  • Proficient in SQL.
  • Experienced with Tableau.
  • Skilled in Excel.

Preferred Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to rapidly learn new tools and concepts.
  • Programming experience with R Studio or Python.
