This position reports to

Operations Systems Project Manager

Your role and responsibilities

As an intern, you will gain practical experience through various initiatives. Each day, you will enhance your knowledge by executing assigned tasks. You will also demonstrate your skills by supporting ABB's operations and advancing personal education and career opportunities. The work model for this role is onsite, contributing to the Motion Business. Your primary responsibilities will include:
• Data Analysis & Visualization: Leverage the potential of large datasets by converting them into actionable insights. Create interactive dashboards that drive continuous improvement and inform strategic, data-driven decisions.
• Innovation in AI & Automation: Investigate, identify, and implement innovative applications that push the boundaries of artificial intelligence, automation, and advanced data analytics, fostering technological progress.
• Lean & Six Sigma Project Leadership: Assist in operations and manufacturing projects, utilizing lean and six sigma methodologies to enhance business performance and deliver exceptional value to ABB customers.
• Strategic Problem-Solving: Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address current business challenges. Analyze and streamline complex processes to achieve sustainable, simplified outcomes.
• Agile Systems Improvement: Collaborate with IS and business teams to enhance systems, applying agile methodologies to accelerate development and testing, ensuring rapid, incremental improvements.
• Technical Documentation & Training: Create technical manuals and conduct training sessions for SAP and essential operations digital tools, focusing on clarity and user-friendliness.
• Mastery of Digital Tools: Acquire and utilize tools within the Microsoft Power Platform suite (Power Apps, PowerBI, and Power Automate) to transform process efficiency and information accessibility, enhancing business performance.

Qualifications for the role
  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in Operations, Computer Science Engineering, Information Management/Technology, or a related field.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the worksite.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future.
  • Utilize critical thinking skills to analyze complex situations and develop strategic solutions.
  • Effectively organize and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously without compromising quality.
  • Collaborate with team members to share ideas, convey information, and provide updates on project progress.
