Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Support Specialist to join our team at Brown Dermatology. As a key member of our clinical staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our dermatology practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Efficiency: Maximize site productivity by adhering to electronic medical record (EMR) protocols and maintaining accurate records.
  • Pre-Procedure Preparation: Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary supplies, ensuring a clean and organized environment for patients.
  • Documentation and Communication: Document patient medical history and dermatological condition, and communicate effectively with patients, providers, and specialists.
  • Administrative Support: Assist in procedures, administer injections, and maintain inventory of supplies and medications.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain cleanliness of examination rooms and equipment, and adhere to infection control protocols.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional patient care, respond to patient inquiries, and resolve any concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and efficient clinical operations.

Requirements:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant experience preferred.
  • Certifications: National certification preferred; knowledge of dermatological procedures and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment; adaptability and flexibility.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience: One year of experience in a dermatology setting, familiarity with EMR and scheduling software.
