Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Security Systems Installation Manager to join our team at Brady Trane Services, Inc. As a key member of our commercial security solutions team, you will be responsible for managing the installation of mid-size to large complex security systems, including access control, CCTV, intercom, intrusion, and fire alarm systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the installation of security systems, ensuring compliance with architectural drawings and electrical layouts
  • Collaborate with customers' IT personnel to integrate security systems with their network infrastructure
  • Develop and mentor installers with lesser knowledge and experience
  • Interface with customers to develop relationships and demonstrate systems, providing training as needed
  • Troubleshoot problems using technical manuals and manufacturer technical support
  • Drill holes for wiring in various materials, wire systems according to NEC70, and run EMT and ENT conduit
  • Inspect installation sites, study work orders, and determine materials requirements and installation procedures
  • Test and repair circuits and sensors using test equipment, following wiring and system specifications
  • Provide daily and weekly reports to management
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and recommended best practices
Requirements
  • High school or general education degree (GED)
  • 3+ years of maintenance or installation experience in security systems or relevant field
  • Knowledge of networking LAN, WAN, and mesh devices
  • Familiarity with IPv4 and IPv6 IP addresses, MAC IDs, and how they interact with servers and field devices
  • Configuring network devices, unmanaged network POE switches, and working with managed switches with customer IT departments
  • Familiarity with applicable software, including CCTV, access control, and fire alarm systems
  • Proficiency with computer devices and working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Apple iOS software
  • Valid driver's license, North Carolina Alarm Registrant, OSHA 30, and 2 or more manufacturer certifications in access control and 1 or more manufacturer certifications in CCTV systems
  • Ability to pass a background check for North Carolina State Alarm Licensing and drug screening

  • Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing, and constant standing, walking, reaching, and gripping
  • Lifting from floor level to overhead, with occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. and frequent lifting up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to carry, set up, and work off of A-frame and extension ladders
  • Must be able to talk and hear
  • Vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus

This position requires working outdoors, in mechanical/equipment rooms, and possible extreme weather conditions.
