About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Information Assurance Security Systems Specialist to join our team at Peraton. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in providing technical and programmatic information assurance services to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities
  • Design and Implementation: Develop and implement security requirements within our organization's business processes to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive information.
  • Compliance and Governance: Comply with relevant regulations, standards, and guidelines, including DAAPM 2.2, JSIG Rev 4, ICD-503, and other applicable documentation.
  • Security Authorization: Maintain the Security Authorization or Assessment and Accreditation (A&A) of assigned systems, ensuring they meet the required security standards.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Deliver all required documentation using current customer-approved templates, forms, regulations, and methods, and provide timely and detailed responses to data calls.
  • Incident Response: Support the Incident Response Team in the remediation, documentation, and reporting of incidents for accredited systems.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Perform weekly audits (reviews of logs) for each accredited information system to ensure ongoing security and compliance.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with key stakeholders, including the Office of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and the Information Assurance Director (IAD), to provide guidance and oversight for all requested initiatives.
Requirements
  • Active TS/SCI Security Clearance: Possess an active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information security clearance.
  • Experience and Education: Minimum of 8 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree, or 6 years with a Master's degree, or 12 years of related experience in lieu of degree.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with Authority to Operate (ATO) process, continuous monitoring, POA&Ms, Security Authorizations (SA), NIST 800-37, NIST Rev4/Rev5, working with System Owners (SO), and other relevant technical skills.
  • Certifications: CISSP, CISA, or equivalent certifications (DoD 8570 IAM 2 equivalent).
