Position Overview

Leidos is seeking a skilled Information Security Engineer to join our Multi-Domain Solutions Division. This role presents a unique opportunity to leverage your expertise in supporting comprehensive, multi-domain large-scale defense systems, IT infrastructures, and Command and Control frameworks to enhance the Department of Defense's Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2) initiative. In this capacity, you will collaborate with an Integrated Product Team (IPT) focused on the Advanced Battle Management System (ABMS) Digital Infrastructure Processing Node, tasked with designing and implementing solutions that ensure rapid deployment, scalability, and robust security to provide operational advantages to military personnel.

This position offers a hybrid work arrangement, allowing flexibility in your work location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive cybersecurity engineering projects, utilizing hands-on experience with firewall configurations, cloud solutions, and zero trust frameworks to establish effective cyber defense mechanisms.
  • Employ a thorough understanding of DISA STIGs and other cybersecurity guidelines to ensure compliance with industry standards, while integrating System Security Engineering principles into project workflows.
  • Offer technical leadership and direction to engineering teams, applying proven technology configuration and engineering skills to devise innovative solutions for clients and effectively manage technical projects.
  • Implement Agile project management techniques, including the use of Jira, to organize and prioritize cybersecurity engineering tasks, fostering efficient collaboration within technical teams and adhering to project timelines.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as required by the program.

Basic Qualifications

  • A Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and an active Secret security clearance, with the capability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Proven experience in implementing and validating DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) for various systems.
  • Proficiency in designing requirements based on NIST 800-53 Security Controls and DISA STIGs.
  • Familiarity with the Risk Management Framework Process.
  • Experience with Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) technologies.
  • Knowledge in designing and implementing Zero Trust security requirements.
  • Ability to collaborate across Integrated Product Teams to communicate security configurations and requirements effectively.
  • 1-2 years of experience with Agile Management methodologies, including the use of Jira.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to engage with customer representatives, domain experts, and other systems engineers in the development of complex defense systems.
  • Demonstrated capability to participate in cross-functional planning, coordination, and execution of tasks involving comprehensive system integration activities.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with individuals from diverse disciplines with varying levels of technical expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with CDS/CSfC requirements and their implementations.
