About the Role

AECOM is seeking an experienced IT Infrastructure Specialist to join our team. As an IT Infrastructure Specialist, you will be responsible for the program management of all integration and technical infrastructure fit-out activities associated with client-owned systems and/or services and critical infrastructure that is required to be installed into new data center builds or lease facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Management: Manage the program from start to finish, ensuring that all integration and technical infrastructure fit-out activities are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
  • Scope Management: Identify and manage scopes and interdependencies between all external and internal stakeholders and coordinate same with the physical construction build and general contractor.
  • Handover Process: Coordinate the handover process and ensure that the required handover documentation and expectations are met to handover the space to our Operations teams and the business.
  • Project Planning: Produce and manage project plans and execute major milestones (Early Access, Ready Network Install, Corpnet Live, Security CX Complete, Fit Out Complete, Lockdown, Colo Ready) and for the financial approval and management function.
  • Stakeholder Management: Identify and manage stakeholder dependencies and construction deliverables and handoffs.
  • Vendor Management: Manage the selection, contracting, and integration of multiple vendors and internal partners.
  • Cost Management: Regularly review cost and KPI metrics, invoices, process/policy communications to partners.
  • Communication: Facilitate client/sponsor decision-making to drive solutions, schedules, and manage change as required.
Requirements
  • Education: BA/BS in computer science, business management, electrical engineering, construction management or similar experience.
  • Experience: 5+ years' experience in IT fit out or construction related project management.
  • Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to establish and maintain cross-functional and positive working relationships with internal and external teams, experience managing large scale enterprise projects with both localized and virtual teams, BICSI RCDD or similar Telecommunications Design/Installation Experience preferred.
