Job Title: Project Management Lead - Engineering
Location: Houston, TXKEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Project Oversight
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables.
  • Formulate comprehensive project plans detailing engineering tasks, timelines, and resource distribution.
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary teams of engineers, designers, and technical personnel to ensure timely achievement of project milestones.
  • Oversee project financials, including cost estimation, budget management, and financial reporting.
  • Ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory guidelines, and organizational policies.
  • Identify, evaluate, and mitigate risks and challenges throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain effective communication with stakeholders to provide updates, gather insights, and facilitate informed decision-making.
  • Lead problem-solving initiatives to address technical obstacles.
  • Conduct regular meetings with project teams to monitor progress, identify potential issues, and collaboratively devise innovative solutions.
  • Generate timely project status reports by analyzing and summarizing project elements and factors affecting timelines.
  • Perform post-project assessments to highlight successful aspects and areas for enhancement in future initiatives.
  • Continuously update project documentation and maintain precise records of all project-related information.
  • Inspire and guide project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
  • Engage with clients to ensure the successful execution of new and ongoing projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering (Chemical preferred, Mechanical or Electrical acceptable).
  • At least 10 years of experience in project engineering or management within the chemical sector.
  • Proven experience managing multiple projects or large-scale projects valued up to $50 million.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams to successful project outcomes.
  • PMP certification is advantageous.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in project management software and technologies.
  • Experience in project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Collaborative team player with a strong inclination towards teamwork.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Project, SharePoint, and Aspen is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively with mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and insulation disciplines, with a basic understanding of civil and structural project requirements.
  • Knowledge of batch and continuous reactions, distillation, filtration, bulk chemical storage, and OSHA PSM regulations.
