Job Title: PROJECT MANAGER

Employment Type: Full Time

ROLE SUMMARY

The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, construction, and occupancy processes for clients of Milestone Project Management. This role involves providing strategic leadership throughout the various phases of capital projects, including programming, budgeting, design, and construction management. The Project Manager also collaborates with a diverse team of consultants to ensure project objectives are met effectively.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

A Bachelor's or Advanced degree in Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or a related field is preferred.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

Candidates should possess four to eight years of experience in the design and construction industry, with a strong foundation in budgeting, estimating, and scheduling. Proficiency in Macintosh software for project management, including scheduling and documentation, is essential. Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, are required, along with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining a keen attention to detail.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage project tasks to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Maintain organized project files and web-based management tools.
  • Ensure confidentiality of all project-related information.
  • Mentor junior staff as needed.
  • Oversee the project lifecycle from inception to post-occupancy.
  • Facilitate project meetings and document outcomes.
  • Assist in feasibility studies and client meetings.
  • Coordinate design and construction issues with stakeholders.
  • Review and manage project budgets and expenditures.
  • Advocate for value engineering opportunities in design.
  • Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Lead the selection and negotiation processes for consultants.
  • Prepare and present project status reports to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate the procurement and installation of necessary equipment and furnishings.
  • Ensure quality control and manage project closeout processes.
