ComTec Consultants is seeking a Senior IT Project Manager with a strong background in overseeing IT Security or IT Infrastructure initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:


Oversee IT Security or IT Infrastructure projects, including but not limited to firewall enhancements, Data Loss Prevention strategies, Active Directory consolidation/upgrade, Microsegmentation, Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and Splunk implementations.

Lead projects from initial business case development through to successful implementation.

Project Management Duties Include:

budget oversight, resource distribution, initiation meetings, project planning, execution and monitoring, effective communication, risk assessment, quality control, team and vendor coordination, and project delivery.

Conduct actual versus planned performance analysis at the project level and provide cost forecasts.
Formulate project plans, define scope, establish schedules, and monitor progress, milestones, and deliverables.

Facilitate and participate in meetings with both technical and non-technical stakeholders to gather project requirements, outline project milestones, communicate timelines, track action items, and assess project status.

Identify and manage project risks, issues, assumptions, and dependencies.

Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 8 years of experience in IT Project Management within a Waterfall framework.

Proven experience leading substantial IT Security or IT Infrastructure projects.

Hands-on experience in creating Statements of Work (SOW), Project Charters, Project Schedules, and Communication Plans.

Capability to manage multiple high-profile projects concurrently.

Experience in managing various projects with both internal teams and external vendors.

Strong background in identifying and mitigating risks.

Thorough understanding of Project Management processes and methodologies.

Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
