Position Overview

The Communications Department at Central Health is comprised of a diverse group of skilled professionals. The role of the Graphic Designer is vital within this department, reporting directly to the Creative Services Manager. This position requires a unique creative vision and the ability to produce outstanding designs that effectively bring ideas to life across various platforms. The Graphic Designer will work collaboratively with multiple departments to develop engaging visual materials that clearly convey our mission and objectives to the community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establish a library of graphic assets featuring a cohesive style that can be utilized across different media within the Central Health system.
  • Create and design promotional materials that reflect Central Health's mission and services in both print and digital formats, including flyers, infographics, advertisements, reports, presentations, brochures, and social media graphics, utilizing content provided by other departments.
  • Generate multiple design concepts for graphic assignments and present them to team members or stakeholders.
  • Collect information and resources for creative projects and assist in drafting creative briefs.
  • Produce conceptual content, including graphics and illustrations, for Central Health's websites and social media channels.
  • Design presentations to enhance both internal and external communications (PowerPoint, Keynote).
  • Create e-newsletters, stationery, reports, and other communication tools as required for the Central Health system.
  • Uphold brand standards and guidelines for the Central Health organization.
  • Design templates and assets for social media platforms and informational sheets.
  • Assist in compiling analytics reports for creative services and marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with Central Health's advertising and public relations consultants.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to develop marketing collateral.
  • Oversee brand management and ensure consistency in graphic design across the organization.
  • Conduct quality assurance on graphic production and brand adherence.
  • Manage the workflow of creative projects throughout the organization.
  • Partner with creative and advertising vendors to design and produce a variety of deliverables.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to interpret complex concepts and data into visually appealing graphic assets.
  • Strong understanding of design principles, advertising, and marketing strategies, including graphic design fundamentals, layout, and typography.
  • Familiarity with digital communication practices and web design principles.
  • Proficiency in creating designs for PowerPoint and/or Keynote presentations.
  • Experience with Mac OS, Microsoft Office, Keynote, Figma, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Illustration capabilities.
  • Expertise in print production and ensuring project quality.
  • Critical thinking and conceptualization skills with the ability to articulate vision effectively.
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and possessing strong communication skills.
  • Capacity to research and understand complex information, transforming it into clear and engaging visual communication tools.
  • Proficient in efficiently managing multiple projects and deadlines independently.
Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Graphic Design or a related discipline is required.

Work Experience:

  • A minimum of 7 years of full-time experience in design, advertising, marketing, public relations, or a related field is required.
  • Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign, for at least 7 years.
  • Demonstrated skills in design, layout, infographics, production, and project management for digital and print media for a minimum of 7 years.
  • Experience in creating and manipulating multimedia projects, including photography and digital artwork, is required.
  • 6 years of experience in branding, social media design, illustration, and photo/video editing is preferred.
  • Experience with motion graphics (e.g., Adobe After Effects) is preferred.
