Position Overview

The Vice President of Alternative Product Solutions will play a pivotal role within our specialized team, focusing on the development and expansion of Voya's private and alternative investment offerings. This platform manages a substantial portfolio exceeding $60 billion, encompassing various strategies such as private credit, residential and commercial mortgages, and project financing. The growth of this platform is a strategic priority for Voya, with a dynamic pipeline of innovative products across diverse asset classes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess and innovate new vehicles to facilitate the global distribution of Voya's private market strategies, particularly for Insurance clients, with an emphasis on private credit strategies.
  • Act as the primary liaison within the product team for insurance asset management client inquiries, market trends, and competitive analysis.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on fund structures, addressing tax implications, capital treatment, and regulatory considerations to enhance distribution capabilities.
  • Lead the evaluation, project management, and launch of new product frameworks, collaborating with senior stakeholders across Product, Investments, Legal, and Compliance.
  • Engage in discussions with clients or prospects regarding product structures and solutions as necessary.
  • Utilize expertise in capital-efficient structuring for insurance companies to recommend optimal investment vehicles for specific opportunities.
  • Develop analytical tools and financial models to assess fund debt structures, informing strategic business decisions and driving growth.
  • Provide product insights and guidance to portfolio managers, marketing, and sales teams to support client engagement and due diligence efforts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Over 10 years of experience in financial services, focusing on private fixed income strategies.
  • Experience in insurance investment management from an insurance company, asset manager, investment bank, or consulting firm is advantageous.
  • Proven track record in structuring capital-efficient investment solutions for insurance entities.
  • In-depth understanding of private fund features, terms, and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong analytical, financial modeling, and quantitative skills are essential.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all organizational levels.
  • Self-motivated with strong project management capabilities.
  • A relevant undergraduate degree; additional qualifications such as CFA, CAIA, MBA, or CPA are a plus.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is required.
  • Possession of Series 7 and 63 licenses or the ability to obtain them.

Compensation and Benefits

Voya Financial is committed to equitable compensation practices. The expected salary range for this position is between $150,000 and $195,000 USD, with additional incentive opportunities based on performance.
