Role Overview:


As an Electronic Medical Records Coordinator, you will play a vital role in the effective management and utilization of EMR systems within our organization.

Your main responsibility will be to ensure that our clients' EMRs are accessible while safeguarding patient information through robust access and troubleshooting protocols.

This position demands a solid understanding of healthcare information systems, adherence to regulatory requirements, collaboration with healthcare professionals, and expertise in optimizing EMR systems.

Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee and maintain assigned EMR accounts, ensuring accessibility for team members while upholding security standards.
• Collaborate with IT and compliance teams to establish and enforce EMR security measures.
• Generate reports on EMR access issues, creation needs, and optimization services.
• Work closely with healthcare providers and administrative staff to assess EMR access requirements and identify optimization opportunities.
• Partner with Wellvana field teams to address EMR access challenges and propose effective solutions.
• Investigate and resolve EMR system issues promptly, collaborating with IT support as necessary.
• Ensure timely completion of assigned Wellvana Support Tickets, documenting all activities and updating statuses.
• Provide EMR education to practices and discuss opportunities for enhancing documentation through template creation.
• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of Wellvana's services to support practices effectively.
• Continuously seek out EMR optimization opportunities, including templates, rule engines, and alerts.
• Train practices on workflows to implement new or optimized EMR templates and processes.
• Identify areas for process improvement to enhance system efficiency and align with Wellvana's goals.
Qualifications:
Education:
Degree in Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Certifications:
EMR Super User Certification.
Experience:
• Minimum of 3 years managing Protected Health Information (PHI).
• At least 3 years of experience with administrative duties within an EMR system (e.g., resetting passwords, creating user accounts).
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in the healthcare sector.
Skills:
• Proven experience as an EMR Coordinator, Practice Administrator, or similar role.
• Strong understanding of EMR workflows, including access management, templates, and coding.
• In-depth knowledge of EMR functionality, optimization, and template development for at least one major EMR system.
• Familiarity with healthcare data standards and security protocols (e.g., HIPAA).
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience collaborating with various healthcare professionals and practice workflows.
