Project Planning Specialist Position at Casino Del Sol

Department: Facilities

Job Overview: This role involves collaborating with Casino Operations staff, Summit project managers, vendors, and various consultants to develop a Master Project Critical Path Schedule. This schedule will delineate all necessary milestones and tasks while overseeing the execution of project timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engaging with stakeholders to establish project assignments and tasks
  • Creating, executing, and sustaining a project scheduling management system
  • Aligning project timelines with both internal departments and external partners
  • Tracking and identifying potential delays in project schedules
  • Assessing performance and generating project progress reports
  • Incorporating updates and modifications to project schedules
  • Advising on actions to ensure projects remain within budget and are completed punctually
  • Keeping stakeholders updated on project timelines
  • Documenting project scheduling procedures and maintaining comprehensive records

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Exceptional organizational and time-management capabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Expertise in project management methodologies and tools
  • Analytical thinking with effective problem-solving skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in project management or a related discipline, or 10+ years of relevant experience
  • Certification as a PMI scheduling professional (PMI-SP) is mandatory
  • At least 2 years of experience as a project scheduler for significant construction projects
  • Proficiency in project scheduling software such as P6 and MS Projects
  • Extensive background in schedule planning and management
  • Thorough understanding of industry project scopes
  • Advanced capability to assess project progress and facilitate necessary interventions
  • Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills
  • A valid driver's license is required
