Community Mental Health Advocate

We are looking for a dedicated and passionate Community Mental Health Advocate to join our team at Pathways Vermont. In this role, you will provide mental health support and homelessness services to community members. You will work closely with individuals from different backgrounds and life experiences, using your excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal) to build trust and rapport. You will be trained in and committed to the values of Intentional Peer Support (or commitment to be trained within 6 months of hiring).
The Job Responsibilities for this position include providing peer support services to young adults and adults in Chittenden County who are experiencing mental health challenges and/or homelessness during drop-in hours, scheduled one-on-one meetings, or peer support groups. You will also participate in cleaning, general upkeep, collection of data, and regular reporting for Pathways Community Center and its facilities. Additionally, you will participate in staff meetings, co-reflection, individual supervision and trainings. You will support in the navigation of local resources for mental health and/or homelessness and assist in the development and management of activities and events at PVCC.
This is a part-time position, working 20 hours weekly. The schedule is from 9:30am-1:30pm Mon-Fri (with some flexibility as needed by program). You will be paid $20/Hour, plus a $1500 Hiring Bonus* after the successful completion of 60 day introductory review with supervisor.
