Koniag Government Services is seeking a Cloud Security Solutions Architect with a TS/SCI clearance to support our government clientele.

This role offers a hybrid work environment, requiring onsite presence for a few days each week. This position is intended for a forthcoming business initiative.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead the design and deployment of secure cloud solutions and services.

- Ensure the effective configuration and implementation of cloud security measures to mitigate risks to acceptable levels.


- Address stakeholder security requirements to safeguard the organization's mission and business processes across all facets of enterprise architecture, including reference models and cloud solution architectures.

- Act as a cybersecurity subject matter expert for policies and procedures related to cybersecurity architecture.


- Provide cybersecurity management support to Program Management Offices throughout the acquisition lifecycle for emerging information systems and into sustainment as necessary.


- Offer technical guidance to facilitate the identification and integration of cybersecurity controls from the onset of the acquisition lifecycle for new cloud capabilities.


- Serve as a principal liaison for enterprise-level boundary defense initiatives, ensuring the consistent identification and application of relevant cybersecurity controls in alignment with agency cybersecurity and cloud architecture standards.


- Oversee the design and implementation of enterprise-level cybersecurity solutions, establishing standards for access control capabilities across the organization.

- Develop technical solutions to complex challenges.

Required Qualifications:
- Proficient in cloud-native software development.

- Expertise in conducting cloud operations within AWS or Azure environments.


- Possession of formal general security certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Cloud Security Alliance - Certificate of Cloud Security Knowledge, (ISC) 2 Certified in Cybersecurity / Systems Security Certified Practitioner, GSEC - Global Information Assurance Certification Security Essentials, Offensive Security Certified Professional, EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker).



- Formal security certification on cloud service provider platforms (e.g., AWS).

- Certified Cloud Security Engineer/Architect.


- Comprehensive knowledge of cloud computing architectures, governance, risk management, business continuity, infrastructure security, virtualization, incident response, application security, data security, encryption, and identity and access management.

Active TS/SCI clearance

Work Environment:

This position operates in a professional office setting with a generally low to moderate noise level. Standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers will be utilized.


The role is primarily indoors, consistent with a typical office job, and involves standing, walking, sitting, and using hands to manipulate objects or controls.

The workload may require extended periods of sitting, and the incumbent must be capable of reading, performing basic math calculations, and managing moderate stress levels.

Occasional lifting or moving of up to 25 lbs may be required.

Specific vision abilities necessary for the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
