Leidos is seeking a Senior Force Protection Solutions Architect to join our dynamic team within the National Security Sector Office of Technology. This role is pivotal in our Homeland and Force Protection Business Area.

Role Summary:
In this key position, you will leverage your extensive experience in the Defense and Homeland sectors to create cutting-edge identity, security, and combat system solutions. Your contributions will assist our clients in evolving and enhancing their force protection strategies. As the technical and strategic lead, you will collaborate with a diverse team to identify requirements through continuous engagement with clients, ultimately developing and delivering tailored solutions that address both current and future demands in the Force Protection arena.

Key Responsibilities:
Your primary duties will encompass:

  • Engaging in customer shaping initiatives, gathering requirements, and supporting proposal activities while utilizing insights into industry trends and Leidos' capabilities for product development and system integration.
  • Conducting thorough market analysis and product evaluations for force protection processes and tools, monitoring industry advancements, and assessing technology compatibility with client needs.
  • Participating in customer interactions to assess their needs and align them with industry developments and Leidos' offerings.
  • Contributing to opportunity shaping efforts to enhance understanding of technical differentiators and integrating Leidos' technological advantages into client operations.
  • Organizing project tasks and delegating responsibilities to qualified team members for specific assignments.
  • Directing technical teams to ensure alignment with technical specifications, strategic campaigns, and business objectives.
  • Developing innovative solutions through research and the integration of best practices.
  • Identifying emerging technologies and leading investment initiatives aimed at utilizing these technologies to create repeatable solutions that enhance Leidos' competitive edge.
  • Facilitating customer and stakeholder meetings, engaging in technical discussions.
  • Leading internal research and development activities within the Force Protection domain, including managing costs and schedules to meet established objectives.
  • Acting as a subject matter expert in translating solution requirements into comprehensive design documentation.
  • Providing guidance on various design decisions, including solution evaluation, selection, and project estimations.

Basic Qualifications:
To qualify for this role, you must possess:

  • A Master's Degree in a technical field with 15 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 13 years of relevant experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship and an active Secret Clearance.
  • A proven track record of collaboration with Industry, Academia, and the U.S. Government Lab system, synchronizing efforts across various research, development, and funding streams.
  • Experience in defining, designing, integrating, and delivering security and/or combat systems.
  • Knowledge of program management methodologies, performance evaluation, and change management principles.
  • Demonstrated skills in personnel planning, project reviews, scheduling, and budget oversight.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a knack for conveying complex concepts clearly.
  • Experience with modern digital engineering practices, including Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) in development or integration projects.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ideal candidates will have:

  • Operational experience in areas such as Biometrics, Integrated Base Defense, Physical Security, Counter UAS, CBRNE, or CWMD.
  • Previous experience as a Senior Solutions Architect.
  • A working knowledge of DoD C5ISR systems.
  • Experience managing complex solution development projects or contracts.
  • A demonstrated ability to collaborate across internal teams and external partners to ensure successful product delivery.
  • Clearances such as TS/SCI.

Compensation:
The pay range for this position is between $144,000 and $260,850. This range serves as a general guideline and is not a guarantee of compensation. Factors influencing the final offer include job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, and internal equity.
