Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the project architect, providing comprehensive architectural and construction quality assurance, along with management and technical oversight for significant projects.
  • Conduct technical inspections, monitor contractor quality control programs, and review project drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with established standards.
  • Ensure that contractors execute the required work in alignment with design documents.
  • Review engineering shop drawings to confirm compliance with final design parameters.
  • Observe onsite construction to verify proper installation and execution of construction elements.
  • Perform quality assurance tasks, ensuring thorough inspections of contractor work and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
  • Monitor the construction contractor's quality assurance and safety protocols.
  • Track construction progress against project schedules and submit weekly reports with recommendations based on technical reviews and field inspections.
  • Prepare detailed construction reports outlining progress and identifying any issues related to the construction process.
  • Collaborate with the Project Director on proposed solutions for identified problems.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in engineering, architecture, or construction management from an accredited university in the United States, along with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in construction projects of similar scope and value.
  • Professional Engineering License (PE) is acceptable in lieu of a degree, with overseas experience preferred.
  • Possession of a Final Secret, Interim Top Secret (TS), or Final TS security clearance issued by the Defense Security Service at the time of proposal.
  • Knowledge of International Codes is essential.
  • Experience in assessing and responding to Requests for Information (RFI) and evaluating proposed submittal substitutions.
  • Familiarity with Construction Safety regulations, including EM and OSHA.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Proof of COVID vaccination may be a requirement for employment.
