Client Relations Specialist

As a Client Relations Specialist, you will be responsible for the effective management and processing of customer orders within our SAP system, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of products to our valued clients. This role involves maintaining customer communication and data integrity within the Customer Master Data records, as well as coordinating with production facilities regarding special requests and shipping logistics.
Your duties will include:
- Facilitating shipping and delivery operations between clients and manufacturing plants, requiring a solid understanding of logistics protocols and transportation regulations.
- Evaluating requests for special pricing to ensure compliance with existing freight and payment terms, and submitting these requests with precision.
- Identifying and resolving customer deductions, while proactively addressing the root causes to prevent recurrence.
- Communicating inventory issues to the Regional Supply Chain Manager and Inventory Planner, ensuring that available stock is allocated efficiently to meet client delivery expectations.
- Documenting customer complaints in the April Star database and implementing corrective measures for shipping, billing, and inventory discrepancies.
- Building and nurturing strong relationships with external clients to enhance service delivery.
Skills/Experience:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain is preferred, along with 5 years of relevant experience. Equivalent industry experience will also be considered.
Proficiency in SAP (or similar ERP systems) within a manufacturing context is essential, along with a working knowledge of MS Excel and PowerPoint to support the Regional Manager and sales teams.
This position demands exceptional organizational, communication, and time management skills. Strong problem-solving abilities, negotiation skills, and conflict resolution expertise are crucial. The ability to quickly understand business dynamics and technical product information is necessary to serve as a resource within the department.
Experience in international logistics operations and knowledge of export compliance regulations are advantageous.
Required Skills:
Experience with SAP in the Order to Cash module.
Desired Skills:
A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain with 3-5 years of related experience is preferred.
